Dear Springfield Public Schools Community, 
 

We are excited to share the March/April Newsletter, highlighting the great things happening in Springfield!  In addition to highlights and upcoming events, the newsletter shares an important proposal for the future of our schools.

At our Board of Education meeting last week, we had the pleasure of sharing a healthy financial picture for our schools in the budget proposal, as well as a long-term strategic realignment for our schools. 

The full presentation is available online, both via the recording of the meeting and the presentations made.  In addition, there is a website that provides an overview of the plans.  While our budget provides opportunities for us to continue to invest in our schools and our classrooms, it cannot solve some of the more challenging issues we are facing with growing enrollment and expansion of new programs.  The website also includes dates for community conversations regarding this proposal, and we encourage you to reach out with any questions.
