For the most up-to-date practice/game schedule please refer to:

Please be advised the schedule may change throughout the season.

Start Date:

The official start date will be Friday, August 16th, 2019. The season usually runs until the first week in November. Please do not schedule any vacations during this time.

Summer practices will be Monday - Friday. Saturday practices during the season will be scheduled as Coaches see fit. Practices will be between 7:00 and 12:00. Please keep your Saturday mornings free.

Players are expected to:

  • Give 110% effort 100% of the time
  • Be in the game mentally
  • Support their teammates
  • Display sportsmanship and self control
  • Communication
  • Show responsibility, accountability, and understand that there are consequences (both good and bad) for their actions

Playing Time

Playing time will be determined based on a player’s skill level, attitude, effort, motivation, teamwork, focus and composure on the court. Playing time each game is not guaranteed and showing up for practice is not enough. If a player wants to participate in a game they have to earn their spot by working hard each day. Grade level does not matter when it comes to who plays on the Varsity/JV/Practice Squad level. Players can move up or down based on their performance throughout the season (this is a PERFORMANCE based program). Players must prove to the coaches that they deserve to be on the court every single day.

Because of our numbers we will have a Varsity, JV, and Practice Squad. Players on the Practice Squad will attend assigned practices to work on their basic volleyball skills. If coaches see significant improvement, players may be given the opportunity to compete. Practice Squad members are required to attend games and keep stats, scorebook, or officiate lines.

Each October, the Dayton Volleyball girls hold their Annual Dig Pink Rally to raise money for the Side-Out Foundation. The Side-Out Foundation provides grants for breast cancer research and support for families fighting that unfortunate battle. The girls are always incredibly excited and we had overwhelming support from the parents, the school community and local businesses. We would like to send a big THANK YOU to the community for helping us surpass our goals each year! Stay tuned for this year's Rally!
