The English as a Second Language (ESL) Program supports students whose first language is not English by helping them develop the language skills needed for academic success and confident participation in school and the community. Our district provides high-quality instruction that focuses on listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English while honoring and valuing each student's cultural and linguistic background.
Certified ESL teachers work closely with classroom educators to provide targeted language support, individualized instruction, and ongoing assessment. Through a combination of direct teaching, small-group support, and integrated classroom strategies, students learn the academic vocabulary and communication skills required across all subject areas.
Our goal is to ensure that every multilingual learner feels welcomed, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. Families are essential partners in this process and we offer resources, translation services, and regular communication to foster strong school-home connections.
